Inspections

The Fire Prevention Division of the Destin Fire Control District inspects all new commercial construction, major remodels, and fire protection system revisions to ensure compliance with the Florida Fire Code.

At the recent Florida Fire Marshals and Inspectors Association Conference, Fire Marshal Matt Taylor and Lieutenant Fire Inspector Alex Ratliff were both honored. Fire Marshal Taylor was appointed as the FFMIA NW Florida Regional Director while Lieutenant Ratliff was awarded a continuing education scholarship to continue his advancement as a fire inspector. Outstanding Job Matt and Alex!
